The Coming of the Martians
At first, I am totally bored of the first few pages. The words choice and sentence struction was so old fashioned, like the british style which I am usually confused of. And all it's talking about was Mars, than I remembered to see the tittle, than realized it's about Martian, creatures from the Mars. After I keep reading, the UFO appeared and it was assumed there's allien in it. First the founders assumed it was human, a man trapped inside. If I were them, I would definitely think it was some sort of monsters or aliens inside, but the arogant human thinks it was their same species. Kind of does not make sense. well, when it grabbed my attention, it's over, kind of disappointed though, want to know what's inside. and when I hear the radio today, the voice was so real, it was like a TV drama only without the images.

I think the radio record we listened to during our class was kind a convincing documentary.Even I did not quite understand the contents, the voice sounds like from a very experienced reportor, which makes the event sounds more real.
ReplyDeleteI thought that the radio version was more convincing too. I feel that the way the broadcaster was reading it was much easier to follow than the complex scientific writing style in the reading. The radio was much more believable than the reading i thought.
